The Halloween Ambassador to Earth

The Halloween Ambassador to Earth

Each Halloween, the Halloween Ambassador to Earth arrives on Earth with a shuffling gait and a cloak that billows like autumn fog. His face, worn and skeletal, carries a strange allure, drawing glances both curious and fearful as he moves through the crowded streets. To most Earthling, he is just another ghastly mask among the sea of costumes, his hollow eyes blending seamlessly with the spirit of the night. As he passes by, people feel a chill—a fleeting sensation, like a memory of something forgotten, yet profoundly ancient. Children stare wide-eyed, sensing something otherworldly, but are quickly pulled along by parents who dismiss him as another Halloween performer.

The Ambassador wanders from town to town, silently observing the traditions that have sprung from his own domain, smiling faintly at the pumpkins and skulls that adorn doorsteps in his honor. In the twilight, he visits cemeteries, lingering among the gravestones, feeling the energy of lives passed but not forgotten. By midnight, his visit complete, he slips away into the shadows, vanishing until the next year. For most, his visit remains unnoticed, yet a few carry with them a vague memory—a half-dream of an eerie figure walking solemnly among them, a fleeting reminder that Halloween holds a mystery far older than candy and costumes.
